Have you ever had that moment when you get to the till to pay for something and you swipe your card with anxiety, not sure if you will see the ‘accepted’ notice come up or not?
That feeling of hopelessness that you just might not have enough, because I definitely have.
Earlier this year I was blessed abundantly when God not only told my friend to give me her car, but a way to get it to me 750 km away. It was out of the blue that God just wanted to bless me. This, of course to bless others as well.
Fast forward to early June when I came back from a time back in Canada to realize that this vehicle needed a lot of work on it. I knew I would have some money coming in from supporters but it wouldn't be enough to pay for repairs for the car as well as rent.
I prayed for whether God wanted me to keep the car or give it away or sell it for scraps. The answer I got was that He provided it for me so far and He still wanted me to have it, but to surrender it to him.
So I took it in to a mechanic and got it all fixed, paying with money that I didn’t have, going into debt trusting that God would provide.
That very week I had a friend say that he wanted to support me, and the amount that he gave me was exactly enough to pay the mechanic bill! Not only that, but I got more donations than I was expecting that month, and people giving simply because God told them to! I went from being in increasing debt to having more than I needed!
This just goes to show that you can trust God. He is faithful to provide for our needs and even for things that He just wants us to have! When we trust God and surrender our desires to Him he is faithful to give us abundantly more than we could dream of. Do we not serve the God who created all things?
Psalm 50:10
"for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine."
God owns everything. The world is His. While this verse has to do with sacrifice I think it also speaks to the undying truth that God holds the world in His hands and is so faithful to us. All he asks is our affection and obedience.
So what have I been up to? Well I returned to the good land of New Zealand in the beginning of June. It was hard leaving family behind but God is worth it! Since I have been back I have been helping around the prayer room here at YWAM Furnace, as well as miscellaneous things around the base and local ministries.
Currently I am going into week one of a four week course to finalize my being an official part of the team here and able to staff school. This will be all about leadership, with both lectures and practical aspects for training me to be able to lead students and myself well.
Once that is done I will jump back in with the prayer room as well as calling potential students to help them be able to do one of our schools! Then in October I will be staffing the School of Worship. I am stoked for this next season and all that God has in store!
I also wanted to say thank you to all of you that have decided to support me in Gods work in New Zealand and the nations. I would not be here without you and I am so grateful. I am also so thankful for all of your prayers they mean so much to me and they are working! So keep it up!
Prayer Requests:
- We have just started a new quarter at YWAM Furnace and that means a lot more students!Pray that they all get encountered by God and gripped for Jesus and the nations!
- Health. I am just getting over sickness right now so pray that it does not continue and that nobody else gets sick!
- Pray that I am intentional with my time and studies for these four weeks as I finish up this school.
- Wisdom and guidance from the lord.
Picture Time!
